Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment is in search of a dynamic and dedicated English teacher to join an accomplished department, providing maternity cover for the duration of one academic year. This exciting opportunity is based in a thriving secondary school located in Hull.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding subject knowledge and demonstrate confidence in teaching across KS3, KS4, and preferably KS5. We are seeking an ambitious and committed professional who excels in collaborative environments. Candidates should also showcase a willingness to enrich the student experience through extracurricular involvement and support outside the traditional classroom setting.
The successful applicant must hold QTS and possess experience in teaching English up to KS4 & KS5. Demonstrable proficiency in behaviour management is essential.
Salary for this role ranges from MPS1 to MPS6, totaling £25,174 to £36,961 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Join our team and contribute to the vibrant educational environment of this esteemed institution.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Have experience teaching English in Key Stage 4 & Key stage 5
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a outstanding English department
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
