Associate Family Solicitor

James Ray Recruitment are working with a multi service firm in Liverpool that require a family law solicitor to join their team.

The prime role of the Associate Family Solicitor is to earn fees by advising on a wide variety of Family and Children law matters including both private and public, and to assist in building the Family Law portfolio. You are expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative, whilst communicating effectively with partners, colleagues, and clients.

The Associate will work closely with the Head of Department and work towards acting as the second in command to the team. You must continue to build your legal, business and client skills and prepare to take on additional responsibilities depending on performance level.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years PQE and have a proven track record of handling a mixed caseload of a variety of Family matters.

Person Specification and requirements

Experience in advising on a variety of Family matters

Strong time-management and ability to manage own caseload

Strong Advocacy skills

Knowledge and experience of Legal Aid

Genuine passion for Family law

Commercially minded

Professional and effective communicator with team members and senior colleagues

Pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude

Own referral source would be a distinct advantage

Panel membership or working towards would be a distinct advantage

Knowledge and experience of Lexcel Compliance is desirable

Senior Associate Family Solicitor

James Ray Recruitment are working with a multi service firm in Liverpool that require a Senior Associate Family Law Solicitor to join their team.

The prime role of the Senior Associate Family Solicitor is to earn fees by advising on a wide variety of Family and Children law matters including both private and public, and to assist in building the Family Law portfolio. You are expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative, whilst communicating effectively with partners, colleagues, and clients.

The Senior Associate will work closely with the Head of Department and act as the second in command to the team, with additional duties and responsibilities including supervising other solicitors and junior members of staff. As you will also have to deal simultaneously with your own clients, you must have good time management skills and the ability to balance responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years PQE and have a proven track record of handling a mixed caseload of a variety of Family matters.
