If you are an English graduate who has experience tutoring or working with young people; James Ray Recruitment would love to speak to you regarding an exciting opportunity. We are working with a secondary school based in East Riding who are looking to appoint an Unqualified English Teacher who could be looking to learn new skills prior to a teacher training course.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn by working in forward-thinking English department. Many of our candidates who start out as Unqualified Teachers go on to complete their teacher training and secure permanent contracts with their school.
This school looking for someone who has a minimum of a English degree, 2:1 or above. This is a full-time post with a minimum 1-year fixed term contract to start February 2023.

Key Duties:

  • English degree, 2:1 or above
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Previous tutoring experience is desirable
  • Passionate about education
  • Ability to show resilience in a fast-paced environment
