James Ray Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work in a highly supportive Primary school based in the York area. You will be working 1-1 supporting a year 3 student with Autism and associated behavioral needs, and other learning difficulties.
This is a recently rated ‘Good’ with Ofsted. This Primary school prides itself on providing a personalized and inclusive learning environment which nurtures and values every student through an ethos of Excellence for All.
This is can be a full or part time position covering during term time only to commence from September 2023. Our client requires you to hold a Teaching Assistant qualification, at level 2 or level 3.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?
Ø Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, at level 2 or above
Ø Experience working with students with a range of Autism
Ø Enthusiastic and ability to adapt to difficult situations
Ø Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
Ø Confident in your behaviour management skills
Ø Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
