Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment are looking to appoint Highly skilled Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students with SEN to join a local secondary school based in the Scunthorpe area.

As an experienced Teaching assistant, you will support students in their learning by either working with individuals or groups of students with additional needs. You will also contribute to the assessment, planning, recording, monitoring, and reporting of students’ progress. This would suit candidates who are motivated, patient with a calm nature, having great verbal communication skills and a passion for making a difference.

If you have high expectations for student achievement and behaviour, good communication skills and a commitment to working as part of a team we would love to hear from you. This role is offered on a full-time basis to commence ASAP.

Key Duties:

The Ideal Candidate:

Be dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated
Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
Have demonstrable experience of working with children with SEN
Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
Be a confident and clear communicator with parents
Teaching Assistant qualification level 2 as a minimum
NQTS/ECTS or QTS can also apply
Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be happy to apply for one)
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Legal right to work in the UK
