Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment are looking for an energetic and dedicated Teacher of Religious Studies to join the school’s Religious Studies Department within an academy based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Religious studies is a very popular subject in our school and is taught as a core subject at key stages 3, 4 & 5. At. In recent years, nearly two-thirds of the entire cohort of almost 300 students achieved grades 7 to 9. At A level, religious studies is a popular subject choice and the OCR specification is taught.
This is a full-time timetable, covering on a long-term placement from January 2024. This school looking for someone who holds QTS and has the experience teaching Religious Studies up to KS3 & KS4. The salary is MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?
· Have experience teaching Religious Studies in Key Stage 3 & Key stage 4
· Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
· Have a genuine desire to become part of a outstanding Humanities department
· Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
