James Ray Recruitment are excited to be working with a Legal Top 500 law firm that have built a reputation for providing outstanding services and supporting a variety of clients from high profile businesses, local individuals and families throughout the region and further afield.
The firm are looking for a Property Litigation Senior Solicitor to join their team at their office in St Albans. This is an exciting opportunity for a 7 years + PQE Senior Solicitor to join their Dispute Resolution Team.
Skills and attributes:
Minimum of 7 years experience of Property Litigation work
Capable and proven business developer with a strong drive the develop the department
Experience of managing/supervising people
Leasehold Enfranchisement experience would be desirable
Experience of adverse possession and prescriptive rights
Commercially astute
Adopts a client-centred focus at all times taking responsibility for the level of client service they provide and takes proactive steps to maximise and improve client relationships
Creative problem-solving ability
Strong written and oral communication skills
Confident with the ability to interface and develop relationships with a variety of people.
Professional appearance
Good IT skills
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record in fee generation both with referrers and developing relationships with clients. The role will suit someone with drive, energy and a desire to take the initiative in business development and bringing new work to the firm as well as building on existing clients and relationships.
They will have high level experience handling complex commercial landlord and tenant disputes/claims including 1954 Act claims, terminal dilapidations claims as well as general property litigation including possession and sale claims, boundary disputes, property right disputes and disputed rights of way. Experience and working knowledge of cases dealing with statutory lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, commercial lease renewals, forfeiture, breach of commercial lease covenants and cases involving right of first refusal would be preferred.
