We are exciting to be working for an East Yorkshire based Chartered Accountants which was founded in 1978. You will be working within a firm that has built a strong reputation, high quality financial service to clients across various industries

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced practice Accountant (QBE) to join an established firm of Chartered Accountants, Tax and Business Advisors.

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
* Part Qualified (AAT, ACA Chartered or ACCA Certified)
* Energetic, dynamic and have a willingness to consistently achieve
* Want to be part of team activities and charity initiatives to support the local community
* Experience of working with partnerships, sole traders and limited companies
* Competent with software’s such as, but not limited to, Sage, IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks
* Have potential leadership qualities and be able to support and mentor other less experienced colleagues
* A desire for continuous personal and professional development

Key Duties:

  • Portfolio Management:
    • Manage a portfolio of limited company clients, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality accounting services.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and building strong professional relationships.
    • Review and oversee the preparation of annual accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts for assigned clients.
  • Team Management and Training:
    • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the accounts team, assisting them in their day-to-day tasks and professional development.
    • Help train and supervise apprentices,
    • ensuring they receive appropriate on-the-job training and guidance to progress in their careers.
  • Client Meetings and Consultation:
    • Conduct client meetings, including initial consultations, to gather necessary information, understand their needs, and provide expert advice.
    • Confidently communicate complex accounting and tax concepts to clients, offering solutions and recommendations tailored to their specific circumstances.
    • Assist the accounts team in preparing basic personal tax returns for limited company clients, leveraging your personal tax experience.
