Plumbing Skills Coach

Key Duties:

• Providing appropriate support, information and guidance to a caseload of apprentices
• Delivering coaching, mentoring, teaching, learning and assessment on apprenticeship programmes to meet the needs of our employers and apprentices to the standards set by awarding bodies and end point assessment organisations
• Regularly reviewing and monitoring apprentices progress on their apprenticeship programme through the use of an online e-portfolio system, ensuring completion and achievement of all elements to ensure apprentices successfully pass-through gateway and end point assessment is taken and passed timely
• Ensuring that relationships with employers are excellently maintained and they uphold their requirements as an apprenticeship employer
• Individualising programmes to meet the diverse needs of employers to ensure apprentices develop new skills, knowledge and behaviours relevant to their industries
• Embedding maths and English into everyday delivery to ensure all apprentices develop the necessary level of maths and English to be successful in their field
• Participating as a full member of the delivery team and contributing to the development, promotion, high-quality delivery of programmes including involvement in standardisation and quality improvement meetings
• Working with the employer engagement team to identify potential new apprentices and employers

Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in occupational area or equivalent.
• Assessor qualifications (Will consider applicants without)
• Proven experience in industry.
• Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not essential.
