James Ray are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning firm known for their expertise and award-winning results.

Their Personal Injury team comprises some of the most talented and well-respected lawyers in the sector. They have considerable experience handling high-value work, including multi-million-pound claims and cases involving brain injuries and catastrophic injuries.

Their work has gained coverage in various media outlets. They have a reputation for achieving settlements for their clients that far exceed those of their competitors and have a history of taking over claims from other large law firms.

This market–leading firm are now on the lookout for a Personal Injury Lawyer to join their team in Coventry.

Key Duties:

Your role in the firm will predominantly consist of:

  • Working alongside the existing Claimant Personal Injury team and managing your own caseload.
  • Handling new and existing claims, including litigated matters.
  • Travelling to meet clients and potential witnesses face-to-face.
  • Attending Court hearings.
  • Liaising with Barristers, medical experts, and other professionals to assist with each claim.
  • Preparing and drafting documents, briefs, instructions, and schedules.
  • Valuing claims and dealing with settlement negotiations.
  • Key Skills and Experience


You will be expected to possess the following:

  • At least 3 years’ of experience in a similar role (in-house or private practice).
  • Experience of working in a target driven commercial environment would be an advantage.
  • A proven track record of dealing with high value claims and a strong billing history.
  • Knowledge of Conditional Fee Agreements.
  • Experience of dealing with pre-litigated and litigated claims.
  • Knowledge of the MOJ portal.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent professionalism and a proactive nature.
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and time-manage workload/tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to produce work to a high standard.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Good client care skills.
