James Ray Recruitment is collaborating closely with an exceptional school in the Selby area to find a Music Teacher. This role will transition to part-time starting in September, offering ongoing employment. The ideal candidate will commence as soon as possible. Joining the department at an exciting juncture, the successful applicant will contribute to the development of co-curricular opportunities alongside the academic curriculum, providing avenues for career growth and diverse responsibilities.

Candidates must hold QTS and demonstrate effective behavior management skills. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from MPS1 to MPS6 (£25,174 to £36,961), contingent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Teach a range of music courses including Level 3 BTEC and GCSE Music, as well as curriculum music at prep and middle school level.
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a The Creative Arts Department.
  • Lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate
