James Ray Recruitment are working with a secondary school based in York to find a Music Teacher to join their dedicated and supportive performing arts department. The school are an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school, and prides itself on providing an excellent education for all its pupils.

The Creative Arts Department supports students from KS3 up to KS5. The post holder must be ready to commit to supporting students across all key stages.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Have experience teaching Music in Key Stage 4 & Key stage 5 setting
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a The Creative Arts Department.
  • Lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate
  • Have or are willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
