Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment is working with a well-established secondary school based in Whitby, seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher, specialising in French, to join their talented team.

As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons in languages across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for languages, specifically French, and the ability to foster a love of learning in students. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that caters to students of varying abilities.
Collaborate with the MFL department to develop schemes of work and resources.
Support the personal development, well-being, and safeguarding of students.
Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) is essential.
A degree in French, or a related language is required.
Experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4 (experience at A-Level is desirable).
Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willingness to undergo this process.
Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate instruction for students of all abilities.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
