James Ray Recruitment are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). An exciting opportunity waits for a Teacher in Malton, teaching up to Key Stage 4 within large, regarded Secondary School. We are seeking a dedicated educator who is fluent in one or more foreign languages and capable of inspiring students to communicate effectively in a globalised world. This is a part-time position, and the successful applicant will be able to teach across key stages to students of all abilities as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes.
We welcome applications both from ECTs and from experienced teachers who want to broaden their experience in a dynamic and innovative department.
This school looking for someone who holds QTS and can deliver good levels of behaviour management. The role is a full-time position with a proposed start date of September 2024. The salary between MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach lessons and sequences of lessons to the class(es) you are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work in order to achieve target levels for pupils attainment, progress and outcomes;
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of students.
• Work with others on curriculum and/or pupil development to secure coordinated outcomes.
• Participate in arrangements for the appraisal and review of your own performance and, where appropriate, that of other teachers and support staff.
• Communicate with pupils, parents and carers in accordance with the school ethos, policies.
• Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the school.
• Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.
• Promote the safety and well-being of pupils in accordance with the school’s Child Protection and other relevant policies. Maintain good order and discipline among pupils in accordance with the school behaviour policy.

Key Duties:

 

Who is the ideal candidate?

 

  • Have experience teaching MFL Key Stage 4 & Key stage 5
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a The MFL Department.
  • Lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate.
  • The post holder has a duty to comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work and safe working practices.
