Job Description:

This is a Full Time position, and the successful applicant will be able to teach across key stages to students of all abilities as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes.

We welcome applications both from ECTs and from experienced teachers who want to broaden their experience in a dynamic and innovative department.

This school looking for someone who holds QTS and can deliver good levels of behaviour management. The role is a full-time position with a proposed start date of May 2024. The salary between MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach lessons and sequences of lessons to the class(es) you are assigned to teach within the context of the schools plans, curriculum and schemes of work in order to achieve target levels for pupils attainment, progress and outcomes; Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils
  • Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external examinations
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values and vision
  • Work with others on curriculum and/or pupil development to secure coordinated outcomes
  • Participate in arrangements for the appraisal and review of your own performance and, where appropriate, that of other teachers and support staff
  • Communicate with pupils, parents and carers in accordance with the school ethos, policies
  • Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the school
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
  • Deploy resources delegated to you in accordance with school policies
  • Promote the safety and well-being of pupils in accordance with the school’s Child Protection and other relevant policies. Maintain good order and discipline among pupils in accordance with the school behaviour policy

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Have experience teaching MFL Key Stage 4 & Key stage 5
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a The MFL Department
  • Lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate
  • The post holder has a duty to comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work and safe working practices
  • Ability to maintain appropriate levels of security in all working areas
