James Ray Recruitment is actively recruiting for GW power with a view to appoint a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team based out of their Head Office. The ideal candidate will come from a mechanical background and can lead a team in the most effective and efficient way possible. You will need excellent technical knowledge and strong financial management experience.

Key Duties:

  1. Project Management and Execution:
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of Mechanical contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
    • Monitor daily progress and maintain adherence to project schedules, ensuring smooth coordination across various departments.
    • Collaborate with procurement, design, and engineering teams to facilitate seamless project workflow and timely delivery.
  2. Contractual Compliance:
    • Ensure all contractual obligations are met, including adherence to specifications, standards, and client expectations.
    • Review contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and optimal performance.
  3. Budget Management:
    • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and financial performance.
    • Implement strategies to control costs and avoid budget overruns while ensuring project quality and client satisfaction.
  4. Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, implementing risk assessments and safety protocols throughout the project.
    • Uphold quality assurance standards across all aspects of the project to deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving project goals.
    • Support the professional development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project progress, financial updates, and performance metrics to senior management and clients.

 

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with timelines and budget constraints.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and client satisfaction.
