Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment are recruiting a Secondary Maths Teacher for a secondary school based in Whitby, North Yorkshire. This secondary Maths Teaching role will start in October 2023 and requires an enthusiastic teacher with a positive attitude to teach GCSE level classes.
You will be responsible for teaching Maths to KS4. Expectations will be to complete planning, preparing, and marking work along with ensuring that the pupils are on track to hit their projected grades and prepare them for exams.
You must hold a QTS to apply for this position and be able to demonstrate good levels of behaviour management. This is a full-time timetable, covering on a long-term ongoing basis from October 2023. Salary bracket between MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 3 & 4
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Maths Teachers.
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
