James Ray Recruitment are supporting a well-regarded primary school located in Scunthorpe. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS2 Teacher to join their hardworking team.

As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering stimulating and creative lessons to children aged 7 to 11. You will play a key role in developing their academic abilities and personal growth, preparing them for the transition to secondary school. This position is ideal for both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers looking to start or continue their careers in an encouraging and forward-thinking school environment.

The school would like the successful candidate to join them on a full time basis to cover for an one term initially but this may extend dependant on the schools needs going forward.

Key Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Key Stage 2.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing detailed feedback to support each child’s development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and supports students of all abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan lessons and share best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of student progress and ways to support learning at home.
  • Promote the well-being, safety, and safeguarding of all students.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

 

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in KS2 (Years 3 to 6) is desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willingness to undergo this process.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
