Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment is looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher of A-Level Business & IT to work within a fantastic secondary school in York, North Yorkshire. The position will suit a qualified Teacher or a well-qualified graduate, either a new entrant to the profession or a candidate looking to further their experience.
This school looking for someone who holds QTS and has experience delivering Business and IT to KS5. The role is offered on a full time basis, however the school is willing to consider part time applicants. This role is to be covered during term time only to commence from January 2024. The salary between MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?
  • Have experience teaching Business Studies & IT to Key Stage 5
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans/schemes of work as appropriate
  • To be able to use your own initiative
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Qualification in a relevant subject specialism
  • Passionate about education
