Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment is seeking to appoint a dynamic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join a secondary school based near Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire. This fantastic school, recently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, offers a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and a vibrant learning environment.
This role has an ideal start date of September 2024 and is planned to continue until January 2025.
About the Role:
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Computer Science and Digital Media at KS4 and Computing and ICT at KS3.
• Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work to ensure excellent progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement schemes of work and resources.
• Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
• Ensure that all teaching and learning activities comply with the school’s policies and procedures.

Key Duties:

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experienced in teaching Computing and ICT to KS3/KS4 students.
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computer Science and Digital Media.
  • Committed to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to manage the demands of a full-time teaching schedule.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes positively to the school community.
