Job Description:

This is a full-time timetable, covering on a long-term placement during term time only. The ideal start date is September 2024 with the school willing to extend to secure the best candidate for their students. You must hold a QTS and has the experience teaching history to KS4. The salary is MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Enthusiasm for the subjects you teach – proven specialism in History at KS3 and 4 and 5
  • Flexibility – things can happen unexpectedly in classrooms/schools and you need to be able to cope with the pace
  • The ability to manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour
  • Patience and understanding
  • To be able to use your own initiative
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Qualification in a relevant subject specialism
