Job Description:

The successful candidate with provide the highest standard of education for the students in the school, and you will be pivotal in ensuring this. We are seeking to recruit a passionate and empathetic History Teacher. You will need to be flexible, possess a variety of skills and be willing to undertake a variety of activities with KS3/4 students, and be very approachable.

This is a full-time timetable, covering on a long-term placement for the entire academic year. The ideal start date is October 2024 with the school willing to extend to secure the best candidate for their students. You must hold a QTS and has the experience teaching History to KS4. The salary is MPS1 to MPS6 £25,174 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

Enthusiasm for the subjects you teach – proven specialism in History at KS3 and 4 and 5
Flexibility – things can happen unexpectedly in classrooms/schools and you need to be able to cope with the pace
The ability to manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour
Patience and understanding
To be able to use your own initiative
Good organisational and time-management skills
Qualification in a relevant subject specialism
Have or are willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
