James Ray Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for the appointment of an outstanding teacher of Geography who is enthusiastic and creative with a passion to inspire students at a leading school based in Grimsby. Academic attainment at the school is well above average and improving each year. The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community.
The client is looking for qualified teachers who have a love of teaching to join a friendly and supportive Humanities department. Geography is the most popular option subject at GCSE and is also consistently highly popular at A-level. The prospective candidate will be joining a well organised and resourced department, with 4 large classrooms, and excellent IT provision throughout the school.
The post is equally suitable for an NQT as well as experienced teachers and offers an excellent opportunity to receive support through their comprehensive NQT and CPD programme. This role is offered on a full time, temporary basis, during term time only. with an ideal start date from January 2024.

Key Duties:

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified to deliver the Geography curriculum up to KS4
  • An excellent communicator who is able to meet deadlines
  • A reflective practitioner who is willing to take an active role in the wider life of the school
  • A strong team player with a “can do” attitude
  • Passionate about education and the success of students, the department, and the school.
  • Holds valid QTS or equivalent
