As a Food Technology Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping students’ understanding of food, nutrition, and culinary skills. Key Duties:

  • Design and deliver dynamic Food Technology lessons that captivate and inspire students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop standardized lessons, ensuring consistency and promoting the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within the department.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their skills and maximize their potential.
  • Actively contribute to the wider school community through participation in departmental meetings, extracurricular activities, and school events.


Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Have experience teaching Food Technology in Key Stage 3, 4 & 5
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Design technology Teachers.
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
