Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent secondary school in Liverpool, seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team full time on a long-term basis from April 2025.

As an English Teacher for Key Stage 3 & 4 (KS3, KS4), you will play a crucial role in guiding our students through their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include delivering dynamic and interactive English lessons, inspiring a love for language, literature, and communication among KS3 & KS4 students.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success

Key Duties:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that align with the national curriculum.
Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress in a timely manner.
Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that caters to students of different abilities.
Work collaboratively with the English department to develop resources and schemes of work.
Support the personal development and well-being of students while following safeguarding procedures.
Participate in school life through involvement in extracurricular activities, events, and CPD opportunities.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) is essential.
A degree in English or a related subject is required.
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (experience at A-Level is a bonus).
An Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service, or willingness to undergo this process.
Strong subject knowledge with the ability to differentiate instruction effectively.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
