Role Overview: As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level depending on your experience. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for literature and language, and the ability to inspire a love of reading and writing in students. Both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (NQTs/ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
This full-time position is set to start in January 2025 for at least 6 weeks, with the potential for extension based on the school’s requirements.

Key Duties:

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that align with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress in a timely manner.
• Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that caters to students of different abilities.
• Work collaboratively with the English department to develop resources and schemes of work.
• Support the personal development and well-being of students while following safeguarding procedures.
• Participate in school life through involvement in extracurricular activities, events, and CPD opportunities.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) is essential.
• A degree in English or a related subject is required.
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (experience at A-Level is a bonus).
• An Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service, or willingness to undergo this process.
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to differentiate instruction effectively.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
