Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment are pleased to be working with a modern, ambitious and dynamic law farm with a strong presence in Hull. They specialise in providing comprehensive legal services, and are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join their team.

Key Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on employment law issues, including but not limited to unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE, and employment contracts.
  • Represent clients in employment tribunals and courts.
  • Prepare and manage cases, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, and negotiating settlements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and related legislation.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal procedures.
  • Provide excellent client service, maintaining clear communication and addressing client concerns.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of legal practice.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Proven track record of handling both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
  • 2 years + qualified
