The Candidate:

Law Degree required
The ability to provide an excellent customer service experience
A good command of English and maths
Strong communication skills (both written and spoken)
Excellent organisation and planning skills
Paralegal experience

Key Duties:

Assist a fee earner to manage and conclude their case files in an accurate and timely manner
Assist the fee earners caseload efficiently to both satisfy the client and maximise the Firm’s interests
Liaise with and take instructions from the fee earner and the Head of Department.
Effective use of Firm’s case management system
Liaise with the source of work and manage their expectations in respect of quality and service
Take initial instructions from clients and continue to advise thereafter
Provide assistance to team members
Any other duties that may be required of you by the Firm from time to time
File Handling Responsibilities
Effectively manage assisted fee earner’s case load
Draft documents where appropriate
To type as required, all non-standard documents
To use the Firm’s computer package effectively
Evidence gathering
Compliance with pre-issue protocols and court directions under supervision
Liaise with Barristers and service providers and provide instructions were necessary to ensure cases are progressed proactively
Ensure that all incoming calls are answered either as agreed with our referrers or at least on receipt and if not that they are at the very least responded to within 24 hours, but preferably the same day as received with minimal use of voicemail. Ensure all incoming group calls are answered where a fee earner is engaged
