About the role:

The DT teacher leads students on a captivating journey into the realms of design, engineering and technology. Armed with a combination of theoretical understanding and hands-on expertise, these educators ignite students’ imaginations, prompting them to delve into their creativity, hone critical thinking skills, and tackle challenges with confidence. Whether guiding students in product design, woodworking, electronics, or textiles, the DT teacher cultivates an atmosphere of exploration, teamwork, and personal development.

Who is the ideal candidate?

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design Technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
