Key Duties:

To work in collaboration with the Executive Director of Digital Transformation to support the College Digital Strategy and develop a digitally innovative staff and student body
Conduct regular Training Needs Analysis to determine the most appropriate and effective learning development solutions
To ensure that the college has a highly effective staff development programme that ensures staff are skilled to be able to deliver an outstanding learning experience for all students on all provision types
To build, develop, organise and deliver CPD programmes for all support functions
Create Leadership development and progression planning for all those in Leadership roles or aspiring to them
Create and deliver effective on-boarding and induction programmes for new starters
To work closely with the Vice Principal of Quality and Learner Experience to ensure that there is a culture that celebrates Good Practice to support the college to become Ofsted Outstanding
Drive forward the importance of embedding English and Mathematics, employability skills and equality, diversity and inclusion into the curriculum through sharing of best practice, training sessions, leading on initiatives and working closely with curriculum
Take a lead on the college’s self-assessment and quality assurance process
To ensure the provision of quality teaching and learning for all provision types: SEND, apprenticeships, study programmes, adult learning, higher education, 14-16 provision and tutorials
To work closely with other Directors, Heads of institute, Outstanding Practitioners and Learning Coaches to ensure that internal verification is frequent and rigorous for all provision types.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree level or equivalent professional qualification
Full teaching qualification
Previous experience dealing with Ofsted/QAA
Knowledge of the frameworks and requirements of the sector
Knowledge of recent Government policy on skills, FE, HE and education
Evidence of continuing professional development that includes specialisation in FE Quality enhancement
