Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment are working with a West Midlands based legal aid firm specialising in Mental Health and Mental Capacity Law. Our client is looking to recruit a Solicitor to join their Court of Protection team to work alongside the head of department, who is an ALR, due to expansion and growth of the business. Must hold Law Society Mental Health Tribunal Accreditation.

Key Duties:

  • Experience of managing a caseload of s.16 and s.21A proceedings under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Experience and an understanding of legal aid is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, and the successful candidate will be self-motivated with an ability to work alone and as part of a team. Most of the work will be done remotely.
  • The successful applicant will also be a full driving licence holder.
