Job Description:

James Ray Recruitment are recruiting for a reputable Law Firm who require a solicitor to join their commercial and corporate law department. The client offers specialist commercial services to a range of businesses of varying sizes.

Personal Skills and attributes:

Knowledge, experience and passion for Commercial/corporate law
Commercially aware, well organised and able to participate in business development
Client-centered focus at all times taking responsibility for the level of client service and taking proactive steps to maximise and improve client relationships
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Confident with the ability to interface and develop relationships with a variety of people

Key Duties:

Liaising with clients and third parties
Managing cases in a range of areas from start to finish
Business development

This commercial litigation role will see you handle an interesting mix of commercial litigation issues.

Acquisitions
Disposals
Takeovers
Mergers
Franchises
Company Restructuring
Shareholder Agreements
Strategic advice in relation to exit planning
Advising on external investment

Activities will be varied and will include, but are not limited to the following:

Taking client instructions and attending client meetings
Supporting other Fee Earners in the provision of service to their clients by progressing matters that are delegated
Provide a courteous and efficient service putting clients at the center of everything that is done
Keeping control of an allocated caseload to ensure that standards of matter conduct, file management, administration, time-recording and accounting are maintained at all times
Recognising the importance of cross selling and identify opportunities to refer work to other teams
Attending networking and firm events to build relationships with potential clients and intermediaries
Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies for specific area of expertise and work
