Job Description:

James Ray Recruitments are working with a college based in Hull who are seeking a passionate and experienced Skills Coach for Civil Engineering.

As a Skills Coach, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students by delivering engaging and informative lessons. You will be responsible for delivering apprenticeships, from basic skills to advanced techniques, ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not essential within this role.

This permanent role is due to start ASAP and will be on a part-time basis, 22.5 hours a week. The salary is £18,493.18 per annum

Key Duties:

Provide career advice and guidance to learners and employers, helping them navigate work-based programs.
Build and maintain strong business relationships to ensure successful outcomes for all parties involved.
Be a key player in regional promotional events and local college activities, showcasing the fantastic opportunities they offer.
Deliver engaging training and assessments that meet the needs of learners and employers alike.
Monitor and support learner progress, ensuring they achieve their goals, including any functional skills they may need.

Qualifications and Experience:

A relevant level 4 or above qualification in your occupational area.
An assessor qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
Demonstrable experience in the civil engineering field.
Knowledge of Apprenticeship Funding rules and the Apprenticeship Levy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in IT and a willingness to travel to support learning and assessment.
