Job Description:

We are looking for passionate individuals who have experience working with young people in education, you will understand that no two days are the same, and that being able to think on your feet, and communicate effectively with all kinds of learners, is the key to an enjoyable classroom experience.

They are a SEN School with all children been in receipt of an EHCP and have SEMH needs. The teachers/TA’s are all trained in Team teach and have extensive knowledge of working with students with challenging behaviour. We are looking for behaviour support workers who has experience in diffusing/ de-escalating situations.

Their provision School Day until 3:15 and then activities (Extended day) until 5pm currently, the pupils can take part in after school activities, this can be trips to the park, bikes, baking, trips to the forest, lakes, playing computer games, going in the games room etc. These hours are desirable but not compulsory.
This is a full-time position covering on a long-term basis starting asap and will run for 2-3 months with a view to securing a permanent contract for the right individual.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Experience in supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Minimum 6 months experience within a SEN setting
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, at level 1 or above
  • Enthusiastic and ability to adapt to difficult situations
  • Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
  • Confident in your behaviour management skills
