Job Description:

This role will work within the classroom or appropriate area of the school site to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for individuals or small groups under an agreed system of supervision.

This is a full-time role commencing in January 2023. It is likely that if you do well in this school, a permanent contract will be offered at the end of the long-term contract. This school is looking for someone who holds QTS and has the experience teaching children with an SEN setting. The salary is MPS1 to MPS6 £25,714 to £36,961, this is dependent on experience.

Key Duties:

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • Have experience teaching within an SEN setting
  • Hold a PGCE and qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the latter
  • Have prior experience of working within an educational setting/working with vulnerable young people
  • Be able to inspire/motivate young people
  • Be supportive and understanding of individual pupil needs (including an understanding of SEN)
  • Have high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement
